Back stiff so I loosen up and slightly dizzy but a good session

Reset the seat to a higher position (2) so I took the weight down to 660-kilos x 8 reps

Close Grip Bench Press
to 135-kilos x 3 x 1 reps (2nd and 3rd better than the 1st). 137.5-kilos next time and 140-kilos after. Which would be awesome after the shoulder issues (it still hurts when I warm up) and it'd be roughly 7 weeks of benching after about 14-15 months of not being able to.

Not this year. At least I've no plans in 2017 thus far. However, it does seem I'm doing well on some movements ha ha. It's 18.13pm here on a Saturday night and I'll do some pinching shortly. As per since I hit 50+ I'm still thinking 1 comp a year (the end of May) seems to suit my aging ass lol.

Yes. I always analyze (certainly once I started being serious) how I did. I won. So that's a plus ha ha
Although, on the adjustable thick bar I upped the world record to a tad under 162-kilos if I'd have pulled my shoulders back my 4th attempt of 170-kilos would have have passed.
The 200-kilos hold for time (it was a 3 way tie which included me) was so fkin brutal it's hard to see myself doing another second to win
The two-hand pinch for time was the most disappointing. I only need 5 damn seconds with the 100-kilos to win. Doable but not on the day.
The thick bar I killed and could have pulled another 5-10kilos. Apparently one end of the bar was a little askew so the ref (who also holds the record) said any lift over the record wouldn't count lol. I pulled more than his record and won the event so, with the overall win also a done deal couldn't give a f**k.
