Danny Garcia got what he wanted....a highlight reel KO against an opponent who was going to give that to him....i think garcia gotr tagged a couple times just because he didnt give a fuck....he wanted to show he can bang with his right hand, which score the first knockdown, then ended it with that massive left hook. if he doesnt fight peterson now, I will REALLY be disappointed with both of them.

Forgot about that....Gabe rosado scored a TKO over a tough dude....
BKB in general seems kind of gimmicky, but its meant to increase the action....cant see myself getting too interested in it, but if more legit boxers start fighting there, ill have to pay attention.

Thanks for that clip Dee, man just shows what two good punches can do. You might be able to shake off one but two in quick succession and your brain reboots.

Yup. setting a shot up with a good jab can make that second shot more effective.
Vera went 12 rounds with julio cesar chavez jr twice.....and chavez was HUGE in those fights....175-180, when vera is a 160lb fighter.....rosado, who isnt known as a power puncher was able to drop him.
If you land a good jab before a right hand, you can get your opponents chin untucked and then you just tap that go-to-sleep button.

Did you see Kell Brooks masterpiece against Shawn Porter? Very impressive. I have him and Keith Thurman as the 2 best young welterweights. I think both guys beat Marquez and Bradley and are almost even money against Manny. I think Thurman would give Floyd more trouble than Brook would, but don't necessarily think Thurman would beat Brook. Styles make fights type of thing. I also think Brook will have trouble with Amir Khan only because that pussy will have his track shoes on. Ultimately, I think Brook will win that fight.
As for his fight with Porter, I didn't think it was close. I thought he landed the only hard meaningful punches and Porters face was a testament to that. Boy, he sure learned from his first fight with Carson Jones.

It seemed like a completely different fighter in brook with porter than with jones....very calculated. I think if he stuck the jab more he could have stopped porters rushes and clinches, but when he did jab he threw porter completely off his tracks. Super accurate right hands, even with those short ones on the inside. I clearly through he won the fight, but he could have been a bit more active. Fighting the way he did here, he is a serious contender against any of the top dudes at 147....porter is way more one dimensional than any of those dudes....lets see how this plays out.

I agree about Porter being one dimensional, but he is a strong little bull. I give Brook credit for standing his ground and staying in the pocket and not letting Porter bully him and overwhelm him. Porter is the type of fighter that would give Floyd fits, because he'd rough him up in much the same way Maidana did. Floyd is great and would find a way to win, but the whole styles thing comes into play. Floyd might beat Brook in easy fashion based on their styles. Brook will always beat Porter IMO easily based on their styles. But, I think Porter would give Floyd holy hell for the reasons stated above.
Anyways, what's next on the boxing calendar?
