That's a fair point. Hope I didn't offend you. Agree about Sugar Ray. Tommy Hearns would have beaten all those guys as well. Probably more emphatically than Sugar Ray would have. Although Sugar Ray was better than Hearns.

I forgot about Sweet Pea being on Tito's resume. Even though Pernell was slightly past it, his style would never have been good against such a beast like Tito.

Your right about Nando coming on and Tito nearly neutering him.

It's a shame that Oscar and Tito didn't fight again at 154. I think at 154 and not being weight drained, Felix would have ran him out of the ring.

Always would have liked to see the prime undefeated version of Mosley against Trinidad. I have no idea how that would have played out. Part of me thinks Mosley's willingness to exchange would be his undoing against such a vicious puncher. The other part can see Trinidad walking into Mosley's heat just like Margarito did. Plus at 147 Mosley was just coming into his own and Tito was definitley drained. If that fight took place in 2000 at 147, I'd go with Mosley. At 154, I'd go with Trinidad.

C'mon bro! This is the boxing thread!!! Nothing like mixing it up with passionate fans. We Aight!!!

Hearns vs. Tito would be interesting at any weight between 147 - 160. Tito would be fighting a taller opponent - similar to B-Hop, with good boxing ability. I'd be worried if Hearns came straight ahead..... and I just can't trust that chin of Hearns, nor those shaky legs against a big power puncher like Tito.

As for Mosely, I thought he was a beast at 135 - 140. We can make more dream matchups with him against JCC, Aaron Pryor, PacMan, even PBF in those weight classes. His KO % going into the Oscar DLH fight was ridiculous - a lightening quick power puncher.

But against Tito, especially as you said @ 154, his power would be too much. You're still talking about a lightweight vs a middleweight.

Prime Mosley at 135 or 140 is competitive with anyone from any era. Could you imagine Mosley against JL Castillo? That would have been a shorter version of Castillo-Corrales.

Mosley vs Rios at 135 or 140?

It's a shame for fans, not for his wallet that he bypassed 140. I think he was too athletic and too tough for Tszyu.

It's probably obvious, but Shane is one of my all time favorite fighters.

I didn't meant of all Puerto Ricans, just those two...benitez excluded....

I think Tito would have had way way too much power for cotto.....cotto may have been able to skate with a decision, if he avoided big shots, but he wouldn't have been able to do that for 12 rounds I don't think.....IMO tito wins at both weights, cotto was a quicker fighter at the lower classes.

Vargas' career was totally derailed by Tito....that fight changed him completely.....

B-Hop's last official KO was De La Hoya....but that KO of Trinidad was insane.....to me, that KO was as stylistic as Floyd's KO of Hatton. B-Hop landed a Same-side counter....he caught Tito's left hook on his right glove and fired a powerful, yet short, right hook white tito's left-hand was still extended...one of my fave knockouts.

The fact that he carried his power all the way upto 154 from 135 kind of shows how much of a power puncher he was, especially @ 135, he had insane stopping power....I'd say he would demolish Rios but mosley wasn't a very defensive fighter...he'd get hit, but I still think he' stop rios.

Peterson, TKO 9. Peterson the better boxer and he's been in with big bangers. Matthysse has a chance to get in early, but the later it goes, I think Peterson will take over. I was very impressed with his last performance.

I think you are the only person who is taking Peterson to win by KO.....if anything he has a shot at a UD, but banging with matthyesse usually gets dudes laid out....Judah and alexander were able to give lucas problems with movement....Peterson doesn't move as much as either of these guys...my picks have been hit and miss this year but I think lucas will get a big win here...Peterson starts slow and usually gets hit (almost purposely) in the opening rounds as he feels things out....letting shots in with a power puncher like lucas is different than taking some shots from Bradley, khan or an over the hill kendall holt.

Lucas by TKO....@ any time....the longer the fight goes, the better Peterson's chances get at pulling a UD, but again....lucas dropped both Judah and Alexander in the last rounds of their fights and lost close decisions while getting outboxed....

This is so hard for me. Lucas seems to be the bigger puncher, but Lamont works the body like nobody's business. Some guys have granite chins, but can't take it downstairs. Lucas looks to have the granite chin, let's see how he responds to Lamonts body savagery. If he takes it well, I think it will be Lucas' night. I can't wait. My official prediction is Lamont by close decision. I think he'll inflict damage early, build up a lead and survive a furious late round challenge from Matthysee, maybe even get up off the canvas and hold on for a close points win. Don't take this to the bank.

Talk about anticlimactic? That fight sucked. The only good thing is Matthysee came out unscathed and he and Garcia should make up for tonight when they get it on in September. If he goes through Garcia in similar fashion, he becomes a serious opponent for Floyd. Hell, if they made him and Floyd in September I wouldn't complain. I'd pick Floyd, but this dude brings heat and really has a self belief that you need when challenging the best.

    I told yall!!! LOL

I didn't get to see the fight I was out celebrating a friends bday, but when I checked my phone I was like "3rd round!!!?" just watched some clips....I knew his power was going to be the difference. He didn't even connect fully when he KO'd mike dallas....if he lands his shots someone is getting hurt. Peterson can't box for long, I knew he was going to want to get in and trade and he was never going to win those exchanges. that second left hook looked deadly, im surprised he got up from that.....that was a more convincing win than Bradley and obviously more dominant that khan....its unfortunate that lucas didn't get the belts for this fight, not that that matters, but im excited to see him get in with Garcia.....lucas is not a hype job, I hope ppl see that now.

I didn't think he was a hype job, but I did think there were some questions. I don't have any questions. He and Garcia are probably gonna fight in Atlantic City in September. I think I'm going to make the trip. Hour and a half flight from Detroit, rooms are cheap, I think I'm gonna do it. What's funny, is the second left hook landed on Peterson while Peterson's left landed on Lucas. Lucas didn't even budge. Dude looks like granite in the chin department. He sure learned from his mistakes against Judah and Alexander. Those two guys wouldn't see round 7 against Lucas now.

Watched the Mosley fight on first row sports. Seemed ok. Thought he got hit a lot, and wasn't sure of the decision, but he closed the show and did some wicked body work. Unfortunately, he'll fight again. I hope at this stage of his career he at least fights selectively. No more young Lions or pound for pounders. I also wish he'd stop the fucking glove tapping at the beginning of every round. It really annoys me and is souring me on Shane. Just seems like kind of a pussy move to me.
