Where is the research on it to show it's any better than maltodextrin?

I use WMS because my stomach cannot handle maltodextrin or dextrose in sufficient quantities.
However, all of the research tends to indicate that WMS is no better (and may be worse) than malto or dextrose in bringing about an insulin spike. (For a quick review, see http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/waxy_maize_starch_myth.htm)Weak is a state of mind.

I used WMS once. True Protein's and I mixed my creatine with it for post workout but I only did one jug and let it go after that.
Unless there's a bench press contest I joined and didn't know about it doesn't matter how much I bench.

I just started using it. Not sold on it. Probably won't buy it again, but I had to try it.

I like it... I don't feel the NEED to wait for 'scientific evidence'... My vote is test it on yourself and give it a fair evaluation... For example: I've been taking it for about 6 months and right now I'm bigger, stronger, and look better than I ever have before... Granted it's not the only thing I've adjusted.. I'm training real hard and heavy and strictly following an eating regimen, but it sure as hell ain't hurtin me

WMS is no higher than dextrose or moltodextrin in terms of insulin spike(i believe they both sit very close to 100 on the glycemic index rating, where as WMS is a touch lower, about 90).
The insulin spike created by maltodextrin and dextrose is higher, but they have a much lower molecular weight.
WMS has an ultra high molecular weight(about 300 times that of dextrose).
This means that when taken it draws fluid and every other available nutrient through the digestive tract extremely fast. For this reason it makes sense to take products like glutamine, creatine and BCAA"s with WMS as they will be absorbed and shuttled to the muscle cells far quicker than dextrose or maltodextrin. Imagine a big net, dragging all the nutrients through your system.
In addition to this it has a lower osmolity when mixed in the same amount of water, meaning it empties from the stomach extremely quickly, hence the reason it does not create any bloating like dextrose or maltodextrin.
I personally use it as the science behind it is good.
In addition to this it is a very cheap supplement and like all carbohydrates taken post-workout it is an anabolic amplifier.

It would be nice to see some real evidence to back this up on WMS. There is info to back up the true Vitargo, and its molecular weight is thousands of times that of dextrose.
I'm just leery of WMS even when people give it good reviews. Creatine ethyl ester got huge praise when it came out, and now all of a sudden it sucks and creatine mono is still the real deal. What if WMS is actually inferior to maltodextrin when you actually test it? I know a lot of people that get less bloat from maltodextrin than dextrose.

What are some good sources for maltodextrin?

I'm a fan of WMS for multiple reasons. I know the research states that REAL vitargo is better post workout because of the insulin release, but the crash it causes makes me sick/uneasy/light headed. Off season that is fine because I can follow it 30-40 minutes later with some lower GI carbs, but off season I'm pretty much glycogen loaded anyway so the post workout "window" isn't as effective.
WMS is great because it has such a high molecular weight it's going to pull everything (NUTRIENTS) with it. Putting it with free form aminos, creating, and anti oxidants post workout is great. I've been thinking about using WMS pre/during workouts and then using Vitargo with my bcaa/glut/creat post workout then using some more WMS with my whey protein...just an idea.

Frosty, you're right here. Evidence would be nice, however I do KNOW for a fact that WMS sits much better with me than dextrose and malto did. WHen I switched to Malto from dextrose I noticed a HUGE differnece. I noticed even more of a difference when I switched to WMS so that in itself makes me a believer. I can elaborate if needed.
