It is nice to see someone outside of Bodybuilding debating this subject in an objective manner. Sure we are all going to applaud but we need more respected public figures to speak up on this subject for change to ever occur.
On another subject and this is a bit juvenile but does anybody else laugh at people they get to lead WADA.... Gary "Wad"ler and before him it was "Dick Pound". Is it a hiring criteria that you name has be be associated with either your dick or blowing a wad? LOL

Man that O'Reilly pisses me off in that Stossel clip. I have no tolerance for people who are ignorant on the subject of 'roids and are hard headed about it just because the believe the media bs ( or they are the media in O'Reilly's case ). They need to open their eyes up to the science behind gear.

Yeah, I'm with you. O'Reilly contradicts himself when he says that Tiger's surgery was "altering your body through science" and steroids are not. Last time I heard Pharmacology is considered a scientific field!!!!!! The arrogance he shows even when he is wrong feels like every meeting I've had with a Harvard Business School grad.

Hmm, this is the second incident of good publicity for steroids in the last few weeks or so. Here's hoping it will gain momentum.

I like the fact that Johns part is highlighted in red. Its like in my bible how the words of Jesus are in red... Both speak the truth!

Bill O'Reilly represents everything that is wrong with America. He comes to conclusions with little to no research, then spreads the conclusions as far and wide as he can just for the hell of it.

I'm not sure an outright "make them legal" approach would be good... but maybe a law like in Denver - where you can have possession of a certain amount of marijuana and it's not a crime (one ounce?).
It's just too far a step to take to legalize something like steroids - it would be a giant LEAP forward - and the public would never let it fly unless there were major restrictions on it, etc.

Everyone should be allowed to put what they want into their bodies but also but informed of the risks in doing so. I think blaming steroids is a good way to keep our focus off the real threats to our health which is the disgraceful food industry.

The only reason the govt. won't ban tobacco or alcohol is because of the taxes they get from it. I work for a company that sell/deliver tobacco and our profit on a $40 carton of smokes is about 80 cents. So on a sale of 200 cartons it will cost the customer around $8000 and we make $160. Over half the cost is taxes. Most conveince stores profit about 30-50 cents a pack, not much but they need them to get people in to buy other things. I guess steriods aren't worth it to the govt at this time. They need more people to use them so they can get their cut.
