I heard Phil was trying to play the villain role by hiding Kai's hoody sweater ala Pumping Iron. After he finally managed to steal it and hide it he came back and Kai was still wearing 7 more and a windbreaker.

The best thing about this O is the improvement of the the threads on the forums more so than the last few Mr. O's this O popped a few D-Bol's into Muscle Central.

Why is Phil being considered the new villain? I think it was very close between him and Kai at the prejudging and he looked like he was fading in that last callout on Friday night. Obviously, his friends must have told him that and advised him to go out and fight for the title on Saturday. That's why, when he was being compared to Kai on Saturday, he looked like he was out for blood. He was acting like a champ, "No one is going to take my title!". Kai was more laid back and chill when he should have been pumped to wipe out the champ and become the new Mr. Olympia. I think Phil was both physically and mentally better on Saturday. He was out for blood and wasn't going to let Kai sneak in and take the title away from him. When they walked off the stage after that last comparison round on Saturday, Phil looked like he was going to take Kai's head off if he even looked at him wrong. Instead, Kai looked away from him.
Remember the 1998 Olympia, when Ronnie won for the first time? Dorian wasn't coming back so that meant a new Mr. Olympia was going to be crowned that night. Everyone was betting Flex would win and he was the heavy, heavy favorite going into the show. Flex won the Arnold Classic that year looking unreal and everyone thought he would win the Mr. O easily. Flex went into the show sort of easy going, looking really good but not as crazy as he did at the Arnold. Nasser was 2nd in '97 so he was also one of the favorites. Ronnie won the Night of the Champions that year but most people had him 4-5th going into the show, behind Flex, Nasser, Shawn Ray and Levrone. In the first round, Ronnie was only placed 3rd or 4th. By the second round (mandatory posing), Ronnie was looking fuller and harder and the judges put him in the middle between Nasser and Flex. Nasser was sensing that Ronnie was now a threat and he literally leaned into him and barked at him like a dog. Ronnie looked right at Nasser and barked back! LOL. That type of attitude is what is needed to be Mr. Olympia.
Same thing with the 2001 Olympia. Jay was hard as a rock and was the surprise of the show. He actually was in 1st after the prejudging. Later that night, Jay comes on stage and does a real slow, relaxed routine. Ronnie comes out looking much harder than in the prejudging and starts his posing routine slow. Then, he rips his trunks off to reveal another pair of red, white and blue trunks under his other trunks (this was only a month or so after the 9/11 tragedy) and the crowd goes nuts. He gets the crowd behind him and grabs the title back. Jay should have came out that night hungry and ready to kill the champ. Instead, he comes out laid back when he had Ronnie on the ropes.

Respectfully Aaron, I think if you were around him much I think you would think differently. He is a stand up guy and a real asset for the sport.
