I am more interested in movies I can just relax and have fun while watching it so out of your top 10 I have only World WAR Z and 12 Years a Slave in my top 10.
12 Years a Slave was the best and nothing came close.
American Hustle and Gravity were two movies I was really bored watching
Captain Phillips was so horrible I had to turn it off after 30 minutes... And I tried believe me.

"I know what your thinking. Did I fire 5 shots or did I fire 6 shots. You gotta ask yourself, Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, Punk?"

I haven't watched many american movies that you mentioned since here in Italy they comeout some months later, plus I don't really like some genres...anyway the best 2013 movie I've seen yet is, by far, "Pain and gain"

I really enjoyed Elysium personally. Blackfish was important too as it managed to really move the public into taking action and exposing the brutality of SeaWorld, etc.

Machete Kills!
(Yea.. that movie was painful to watch, although it had some ultra cheeseball moments that made me LOLZ!)
Eysium was actually better than I expected.
After Earth ... more annoying than anything. Amazed I made it thru the whole thing.
Capt Phillips was good.
