John Meadows dies at age 49

I have followed John since his Beverly International days (for you younguns that’s a LONG time!!). I read every one of his articles on T-Nation, and subscribed to his website since the beginning. He produced so many YouTube videos that I couldn’t watch them all. But if you talk bodybuilding with me for even a few minutes, his name will almost always come up along with a reference to at least one of his videos or articles. I used many of his supplements from Prime Nutrition on through to Granite Supplements and for a few years I was a brand ambassador. When he earned his IFBB pro card, I’m pretty sure I squealed like a little kid at Christmas, I was so happy for him.

It had always been a goal of mine to train bench and shoulders with him and Dave Tate at EliteFTS. While I’d still be beyond thrilled and honored to train there with Dave Tate one day, it won’t be the same without John because I learned so much about bodybuilding training and diet from John with all the content he produced.

I’ll be training legs tomorrow a la BFR that I learned from one of John’s YouTube videos. RIP

Did they (the family of Jon) have an official cause of death? Gosh man, it was like yesterday he was discussing how he overcame & just missed death from his blood clot. I'm really in disbelief still. What a genuine humble man

I didn’t follow John all that much but from what I know he seemed like a great guy. i hope his family is doing OK.

explain yourself. I didn’t know you’re John‘s doctor. can you explain the exact cause of death in relation to his steroid use? go ahead and post his blood work, CT scans and all relevant medical information related to his steroid use that is a direct cause to his death. also post his past medical history and genetic issues.

before you make foolish statements suggesting he died from steroid use maybe you should know some facts before you post such nonsense
